The David Meade Massie Trust is established through the generosity of
David Meade Massie, a banker, financier, and philanthropist who was a
proud Chillicothe resident from 1859 to 1927. Mr. Massie was president
of the First National Bank of Ross County before his death. Never
married, Mr. Massie chose to leave his substantial life savings for the
benefit of his employees for and during their lives, and upon his death,
for the health, happiness, and welfare of the citizens of Ross County
Ohio.
The Trust currently
operates through three Trustees, all who are citizens of this community,
and who's activities are subject to the supervision and approval of the
Probate Court of Ross County, Ohio.
The Trustees of the David Meade Massie Trust normally meet the 2nd
Friday of each quarter (March, June, September, & December).
In order to insure that your application will be considered at a
designated meeting, the application and supporting documentation should
be received at least (2) weeks prior to the date of the meeting. A copy
